    IHMM Today, the Instiuitue of Hazardous Material Management's newsletter contains articles for Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMM®), Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioners (CHMP™), Hazardous Materials Managers-in-Training (HMMTs), and others working in homeland security, environmental protection, engineering, health sciences, transportation, and public safety professionals that are interested in getting a certification.

    The AHMP CyberChapter Board would like to thank you for your continued interest and support of the AHMP CyberChapter as a 2012 member. We are looking forward to a productive and successful year with our group. However, that will not be possible without your participation. We highly encourage you to take every opportunity to become involved with the chapter as we grow through the year.

    Meeting attendance tapered off somewhat in 2011. Partly due, on our part, to a lack of timely communication, but also because we are busy professionals and can't always find the time.

About the AHMP National CyberChapter

Cyber Chapter is committed to providing its members with the most up-to-date information on sustainability, alternative energy, and improvement of environmental practices as they relate to hazardous materials management.

Conceived in 2004, the CyberChapter offers a convenient alternative to traditional Chapter membership, with the same networking and continuing education options available, in an easily accessible on-line format. CyberChapter membership provides a broader national perspective on issues facing Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMMs) and Environmental Health Safety & Security (EHS&S) professionals. The CyberChapter also provides the opportunity to network with professionals from many different locations and disciplines.

Our virtual meetings are held bi-monthly on the fourth Thursday, usually 10:00 AM Pacific/1:00 PM Eastern. You will receive e-mail reminders approximately a week before, and the day before the meeting with specific links and other information.

The CyberChapter web address is http://www.ahmpcyberchapter.org. If you have any questions regarding the website please notify Tim Foelker tim@protechworks.com. Tim will be happy to assist you in resolving any issues.

If you have any questions regarding chapter membership, please feel free to contact any of us on the CyberChapter Membership Committee listed below. We would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your membership. We look forward to your participation in the CyberChapter. We encourage you to offer ideas for meeting presentations, educational programs, web resources, and chapter officer/board/committee membership.
